This is a short introduction to electrochemical biosensors. Unfortunately, it’s not an exhaustive discussion because of word limits but can be considered a jumping-off point for further research. It includes the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry’s (IUPAC) definition for electrochemical biosensors, their classification, design, and performance criteria.
